"Eden Prime is under attack from unknown synthetic forces! We are heavily outnumbered and require immediate assistance! They came out of nowhere! Strength of enemy forces is overwhelming; they have some kind of mothership, its tearing us apart! Send reinforcements no-"
— Private Nirali Bhatia, moments before she is killed.

The Battle of Eden Prime (alternatively called the Battle of Colony Euphoria), and known as Operation Daybreak to Saren's forces, was a small-scale attack by geth heretic forces on the Alliance colony of Eden Prime that occurred on 9 June 2183 CE. The battle saw the first observed deployment of geth combat forces since the First Morning War three centuries earlier, as well as the first recorded observation of the warship known as Sovereign, which would later be revealed to be part of an ancient genocidal hyper-advanced machine race. The battle was the first in the Eden Prime War, but was also the first in the Reaper Campaign that followed.
