- Tali'Zorah: "I waited for a lone geth to become seperated from its unit. Then I disabled it and removed its memory core."
- Captain Anderson: "I thought the geth fried their memory cores when they died? Some sort of defense mechanism?"
- Tali'Zorah: "Yes, but if you act quickly, small caches of data can be saved. And I salvaged something from its audio banks."
- — Tali regarding her find on Gei Hinnom.
The Skirmish on Gei Hinnom was a brief engagement between the quarians Keenah'Butras and Tali'Zorah and a geth heretic patrol located on Gei Hinnom that occurred during the Eden Prime War. Just after the geth attack on Eden Prime, the pilgrim known as Tali with her marine escort Keenah arrived on Gei Hinnom and covertly followed a geth patrol. Waiting for a chance, they ambushed and captured one, where they acquired evidence proving Saren Arterius and Matriarch Benezia had orchestrated the attack. This put them in the crosshairs of Jacobus Sassus, a turian assassin hired by Saren, and a chase began across the galaxy, ending on the Citadel.
