Reconnaissance-class combat drone
From FABT
- "Fast, nimble, silent and stealthy. Geth recon drones aren't the most formidable threat in the geth army, but they pose a significant risk to combat intelligence. Their speed allows them to outrun a marine, and their potential for intelligence gathering is quantified by their meticulous knack for sneaking up on oblivious fireteams. Their main weapon packs a punch too, and many marines have fallen victim to it: in large swarms, they can become a major threat. Motion trackers are advised for combating their stealth element, and they are known to be lightly shielded, so they are limited in punishment rebuttal."

The Reconnaissance-class combat drone, also known as the Geth Recon Drone colloquially, was a subclass of the geth consensus, and one purely utilized for recon elements. Very small, the geth recon drone was developed in 2130 CE as a way of gathering intelligence on opposing enemy forces quickly and quietly, principally without the enemy being alerted. However, the geth recon drone was very lightly shielded and armoured, and once the Alliance developed countermeasures, it was very easily dispatched. As such, the Geth Army quickly decommissioned them, with only the Geth Heretic Army continuing to use them up until their demise in 2185 CE. Armed with a chin-mounted pulse weapon, the geth recon drone possessed weak kinetic barriers and virtually no armor, but made up for it with speed and stealth.
