THS Swift was a Century-class light cruiser in the Navy of Palaven and Citadel Defense Fleet. The three hundred and sixty-fourth ship of her class to be built, the Swift was originally assigned to the Sixth Fleet under Prefect Tiberiter Salviso, serving with the Sixth Fleet for eighty years before being reassigned to the Citadel Defense Fleet, where it spent the rest of its career. The Swift spent most of its time in the CDF either patrolling the Widow system, enforcing customs regulations, monitoring traffic and/or running blockade against criminal ships attempting to escape C-Sec. On 19 July 2183 CE, the Swift took part in the Battle of the Citadel when a massive geth heretic fleet, spearheaded by the Reaper Sovereign, launched a surprise attack on the Citadel with the aim of taking it. The Swift managed to survive the initial attack, and was part of a large contingent of the CDF's left flank that moved to counterattack the geth fleet directly, with the aim of keeping them away from the Citadel. The geth offensive proved too strong however, and the Swift and the other CDF ships were forced to retreat after losing a dozen more ships. Noticing that Sovereign was making straight for the Citadel, the Swift quickly came around to assist the Iron Conviction and her escorts in beating back the dreadnought, but the Reaper blew through the Conviction before the Swift could reach it. Whilst pursuing the Reaper, the Swift was surrounded by geth frigates and bombers that had been escorting Sovereign and it was rapidly torn asunder, the ship only holding out long enough for most of its crew to reach escape pods before it was destroyed. The sacrifice of the Swift and its crew are noted on the Heroes of the Citadel monument, along with the other CDF ships destroyed protecting the Citadel.
