THS Tangent Affairs was a Century-class light cruiser in the Navy of Palaven and Citadel Defense Fleet. The one hundred and eighth ship of its class to be built, the Tangent Affairs was originally assigned to the Tenth Fleet under Prefect Vitellea Achanion, where it served with the Tenth Fleet for thirty years before it was removed from Tenth Fleet and reassigned to the Citadel, being reintroduced into the Citadel Defense Fleet and serving there for the rest of its career. The Tangent Affairs saw very little action during this time, spending most of its time on patrol in the Widow system, enforcing customs regulations or running blockades against criminal ships attempting to escape C-Sec. On 19 July 2183 CE, the Tangent Affairs was destroyed when geth heretic forces, personally spearheaded by Sovereign, blitzed through the Widow relay and unleashed a massive barrage on the CDF in the opening stages of the Battle of the Citadel. The sacrifice of the Tangent Affairs and its crew are noted on the Heroes of the Citadel monument, along with the other CDF ships destroyed protecting the Citadel.
