- "You won't get away with this, Jeong. Colonial Affairs will crucify you for what's been done here."
- — Juliana Baynham
Juliana Herfa Baynham was a former employee working for ExoGeni at their Feros facility, a refugee during the Reaper War and a former slave of the Batarian Hegemony, as well as the mother of Lizbeth Baynham. Born on Earth, Juliana had one child by her husband. She later divorced him, taking Lizbeth when she was just 12 years old and moving to Feros to start a new life as an employee at ExoGeni. She worked in the growth labs, and was therefore not privy to information on the Species 37 project. She managed to evacuate when the geth attacked, and survived the battle. She stayed at Zhu's Hope, resigning from ExoGeni and trying to help the colony. With the colony now self-autonomous, Juliana became the colony's foreign minister, organizing with Lizbeth the creation of the Feros Colonial Guard. When the Reapers invaded the planet, Juliana managed to successfully evacuate with most of the colonists. Along with the other refugees, she evacuated to the Citadel and remained in one of its many refugee camps, where she was captured by Cerberus during their attempted invasion, but again survived. After the Reaper War, she returned to Feros to help rebuild, where she would later be enslaved by the batarians during the Border War, and put to work in Kepcedah. She eventually got fed up with being a slave and led a short, but doomed, revolt against her batarian captors, and was executed for it. However, her actions inspired other slave revolts across the batarian empire, eventually bringing about its collapse.
