The Commune of the Armed Forces is the highest operational command of the Armed Forces of Palaven and its Colonies. The Commune is ultimately in charge of all personnel, equipment and facilities sported by the military of the Turian Hierarchy, and, as a result, manages the numerous subcommand apparatuses of the Armed Forces, including the subcommunes of the Army, Marines, Navy, Special Forces, Imperial Guard, Cixtemper Century and Olymcius Forces. The Commune consists of forty senior military personnel, with the ArchGeneral and Didact at the top. The Commune of the Armed Forces was formed to replace the Imperial War Commune after the founding of the Turian Hierarchy, and remained as the main operational command of the Turian Armed Forces until their dissolution in 2215 CE following the Post-Apocalyptic War. The Commune was reformed after the Dominion Civil War in 2253 CE with the founding of the Neo-Turian Empire, where it has remained active to this day.
