The Striker pistol was a burst-fire heat sink-based block-fed pistol manufactured by Elanus Threat Management Solutions. Manufactured and entering service in 2158 CE, the Striker pistol was a pistol designed for use by security corporations and PMCs, with Elanus themselves outfitting their ERCS personnel with it. The weapon had moderate recoil and accuracy, but its burst fire mode allowed a user to place heavy fire down upon a target very quickly and efficiently. The M-3 Predator is ERCS' direct successor to the Striker, with a design that is heavily inspired by the Striker. The M-3 Predator was designed and built to replace the Striker after the introduction of the thermal clip in 2184 CE following the Battle of the Citadel, which replaced block fed weapons wholesale across the entire galaxy.
