The Raikou pistol was a burst-fire heat sink-based block-fed pistol manufactured by Ariake Technologies. Manufactured and entering service in 2164 CE, the Raikou pistol was one of the cheaper pistols available on the market, but found use among numerous interstellar militaries, PMCs and corporations, and was also favored as a personal defense weapon by the average citizen. The weapon could fire 2 shots per second due to its burst fire, but the weapon's recoil was rated as very high. The weapon was, in design, succeeded by the M-6 Carnifex following the introduction of thermal clips in 2184 CE, which replaced block-fed weapons wholesale across the entire galaxy following the Battle of the Citadel. No direct successor to the Raikou pistol exists, as Ariake shifted solely to the manufacture of armors and shotguns after 2184 CE.
