The Nexus omni-tool, also simply known as the Nexus, was an omni-tool model manufactured by Armali Council. Manufactured and entering service in 1754 CE, the Nexus was a mid-range engineer/machinist grade omni-tool meant for use by engineers, machinists and mechanics. Replacing the Supernova previously made by Armali Council, the Nexus improved upon many design facets of the Supernova including processing power and capabilities, further augmenting its capacity as a tool for technical work. As an engineer-grade omni-tool, the Nexus prioritizes processing power and tech cooldown, maximizing work output. While the Nexus was primarily an engineer's omni-tool, it still possessed the abilities of a standard omni-tool, including extranet connection, application integration and optimization, and communication. While initially only sold in the Asari Republics, by 1900 CE it was sold across the galaxy, used by engineers of every stripe and function. Support for the omni-tool would continue until 2194 CE, with manufacture of the omni-tool discontinuing in the same year as Armali Council released its successor, the Comet.
