The Hurricane shotgun was a fully automatic hint sink-based block-fed medium shotgun manufactured by Elanus Threat Management Solutions. Manufactured and entering service in 2155 CE, the Hurricane shotgun was a full-auto medium shotgun designed for use by security corporations and PMCs, with Elanus themselves outfitting their ERCS personnel with it. The weapon had excellent recoil dampening and accuracy for an automatic shotgun, with a user able to consistently hail down a storm of high velocity slugs with reasonable accuracy. The Hurricane was a favourite amongst ERCS personnel, considered the best out of ERCS' then-current lineup of weapons. The weapon was, in design, succeeded by the M-27 Scimitar following the introduction of the thermal clip in 2184 CE, which replaced block-fed weapons wholesale across the entire galaxy following the Battle of the Citadel. No direct successor to the Hurricane exists, with ERCS outfitting their personnel with either the M-27 Scimitar and M-23 Katana.
