The Geth Strike Fighter-012 Class Exoatmospheric Multi-Role Strike Fighter (GSF-012 Class EMRSF), known colloquially as the Mosquito or simply as the Geth Fighter, was a classification of fighter that served in the Geth Navy and Geth Heretic Navy from 2182 CE to 2193 CE. Succeeding the GSF-011 class strike fighter, the fighter was quite possibly one of the most advanced fighters during that time period, as it had both mobility, maneuverability and firepower. Armed with twin plasma cannons, a chin-mounted siege pulse and a compliment of Chaser plasma torpedoes, the fighter also had strong kinetic barriers. While observed at the Battle of Virmire, they were not properly seen in combat in the Eden Prime War until the Battle of the Citadel, where they were capable of going toe-to-toe with the turian and asari fighters. It was later succeeded by the GSF-013 Class.
The geth heretics continued to use the GSF-012 for many years after the Eden Prime War, right up until they were absorbed back into the geth.
