- "We drown our enemies in a geyser of their own blood...we don't invite them into our home."
- — Wreav, chastizing Wrex for allowing a salarian to help cure the genophage.
Chieftain's Adjutant Urdnot Wreav was the chieftain of Clan Urdnot from 1572 CE to 2183 CE, chieftain's adjutant to Urdnot Wrex from 2183 CE to 2186 CE, and one of two surviving sons of Urdnot Jarrod. Born on Tuchanka in the aftermath of the Krogan Rebellions, Wreav and his half-brother Urdnot Wrex were two surviving sons from a clutch of thirty that survived birth, with the rest dying from stillbirths incurred by the genophage, and thus some of the first survivors of the sterility plague. Born from another mother, Wreav and Wrex never recognized each as brothers, although their father, Jarrod, brought them up as much: Wreav despised Wrex for what he perceived to be preferential treatment, as Jarrod believed Wrex was stronger than Wreav in both will and intelligence, with Wreav adopting more brutish and aggressive traits: it didn't help that Wrex was born with biotic potential from the onset. His hatred of Wrex only grew when he began to question Jarrod's teachings and ideology, eventually openly opposing it, which was the opposite of Wreav, who followed and revered Jarrod's beliefs and buying his propaganda regarding the Tuchankan Empire. Wreav ultimately sided with Jarrod against Wrex during the Urdnot civil war, but was angered and disgusted by his father's betrayal of krogan religious edicts when he lured Wrex and his men to a slaughter at the Hollows; Wreav himself said that "it was good that Jarrod died right there, for I would have been guilty of patricide if he had returned alive." With the Urdnot patriarch dead, and Wrex vanishing into self-imposed exile, Wreav assumed leadership of Clan Urdnot, and although he managed to reunite Urdnot and end their war, Jarrod's damage to Urdnot's reliability and honor as a clan forced him to begin slowly rebuilding their reputation, and thus a regression of their involvement in the Krogan Civil Wars for the next 600 years.
Wrex's sudden return in mid 2183 CE shocked Wreav and his lieutenants, and with Wreav concerned about his position being threatened, the krogan was not at all thrilled about his brother's triumphant return. To make matters worse, Wrex had become a galactic hero thanks to his actions in the Battle of the Citadel, which Wreav believed would sway Urdnot support in his favor. Knowing a challenge to the chieftainship was inevitable, Wreav attempted to point out that Wrex had followed a human, and thus was to be deemed too weak to lead, but Wrex called for the challenge regardless: and, just as Wreav feared, he was swiftly defeated. Upon becoming chieftain, Wrex made Wreav his adjutant, although the position was almost entirely symbolic, as Wrex ignored much of his advice regardless. This caused a further split between the brothers, especially once Wrex had Urdnot reenter the civil wars on the Reformist side, with his brother usurping the organization and reforming it into the United Krogan Clans in an effort to prepare for a threat called the Reapers, which Wreav insisted was merely the delusion of a human, and used to secretly rally support against his brother from like-minded Traditionalists. He changed his tune in 2186 CE once the Reaper War broke out and the Krogan Civil Wars ceased active hostilities. Wreav proved a competent commander during the Tuchankan Raids, but was finally killed during the Battle of the Shroud when his vehicle was consumed by Kalros.
