- "Terra Nova' is Latin for 'New Earth.' Well, its certainly apt. Along with Eden Prime and Elysium, Terra Nova was part of the Phase One Colonization Initiative, and our first extrasolar colony. It once boasted the largest population, and the most developed capital city. But then the batarians just had to fuck everything up...now Terra Nova's glory days are long gone, as are quite a few of its residents."
- — Simon Atwell.
Terra Nova (formerly known as QaskKet I to the protheans and Summit to the Inusannon) is the first planet of the Asgard system in the Exodus cluster. After the discovery of the Mars Archives in 2148 CE, the Phase One Colonization Initiative was put into action, and the newly formed ExoGeni Corp sent expeditions to Alpha Centauri, Elysium, Terra Nova and Eden Prime. The first extrasolar human colony, Terra Nova flourished and continued to do so before 2170 CE, where it reached a population of over four million. After the Skyllian Blitz however, its population decreased when fears of a batarian slaver attack led colonists to emigrate deeper into Alliance territory, with some outright moving to Earth.
