The Systems Alliance Armed Forces (SAAF) was the military component of the Systems Alliance responsible for the defense and preservation of the Alliance. It consisted of four branches, which were: the Systems Alliance Army (SAA), Systems Alliance Navy (SAN), Systems Alliance Marine Corps (SAMC) and the Systems Alliance Colonial Army (SACA). Under the direct command of the Systems Alliance Central Command (CENTCOM), the Armed Forces performed numerous activities to which contributed the safety and security of the Alliance's borders. When called upon, all four branches waged war on an opponent, with all four performing their assigned roles and tasks. Other organizations, such as special operations groups, were separate components of the Armed Forces, but not branches in their own right.

With the dissolution of the Systems Alliance in 2191 CE, the SAAF was reorganized into the Systems Coalition Armed Forces.
