The Survivor medium combat armor was a ceramic-based protective medium combat armor manufactured by Devlon Industries. Manufactured and entering service in 2169 CE, the Survivor armor was built for use within the forces of PMCs, possessing human, asari, turian and krogan variants to this purpose, although the armor would also find use with bounty hunters and independent freelancers. The Survivor armor also found use among Cerberus' commando battalions, where it would be used for security, combat and patrol purposes. The Survivor armor was a decent mid-range armor system, considered reliable at a reasonable price, but not on par with the quality expected of higher range armors. Being medium armor, it had moderate damage protection and was outfitted with decent kinetic barriers, balancing out damage protection and strong shields with the flexibility and mobility afforded to lighter armors. The Survivor armor would be phased out by 2184 CE, replaced by the Stormtrooper armor in use by most mercenaries and by the Inferno assault armor by the Cerberus Armed Forces.
