"Oh please, you know I'm not here to fight. I can shoot a pistol, sure, but my realm is cyber only. Momma Sederis blessed me with the skills to hack, and I'm going to show my appreciation by leaking her sexual proclivities on the extranet...oh, and to kill some mercs, that too. I worked for that bitch for too damn long without seeing what she was really like. Airing her dirty laundry for the public to see is my ideal revenge."
— Sensat Aben to Garrus Vakarian.

Specialist Sensat Aben was a former cyberwarfare expert and technician who worked as a mercenary for Eclipse and a member of Archangel's Omega Squad. Born on Gorot II, Sensat Aben was an eccentric individual from the very beginning, possessing odd social quirks and attitudes that were out-of-place even for a salarian, and from the age of 2 he had an innate and intricate understanding of technology, creating a mod for his omni-tool at the age of 3. His parents enrolled him in a tech academy on Sur'Kesh at 10 in order to take advantage of his technical skills, hoping to hone his technical skills at an early age, but Sensat dropped out halfway through the course, growing bored with the material and leaving Union as a "free spirit", an action that greatly angered his oligarch parents, who viewed his actions as bringing shame upon their clan and rendering him an outcast. Sensat ultimately didn't care, and used his parent's money to explore the galaxy, finally landing a job at Apex Omni-Tools on the Citadel as a repair technician in order to get a consistent source of income and build a life for himself. Growing bored with this after a few months, Sensat signed up for the Eclipse, where he was trained as a cyberwarfare tech. Sensat's abilities made him extremely useful to Eclipse, using his skills to perform cyber attacks on rival PMCs or against targets they were contracted to take down. Sensat would spend four years of his life in Eclipse, eventually being assigned to the Omega chapter of the PMC. During this time, growing more and more disillusioned with the organization he worked for as he became privy to their most sensitive operations, Sensat used his skills to hack into high-level Eclipse communiques, where he learnt of the PMC's involvement in drug-running, the slave trade and war crimes: as he went further down the rabbit hole, he learnt of his employer's more insidious perversions and sexual proclivities, discovering how sick and twisted Jona Sederis actually was. His view of Eclipse completely changed, Sensat began using his access to leak information on Eclipse to the extranet, hoping to ruin Sederis' reputation. Despite his skill, Sederis quickly deduced a mole was responsible, and using her own techs, discovered Sensat was behind it. Knowing what Sederis would do to him if she captured him, Sensat left Eclipse and went on the run, hiding somewhere on Omega.

In late 2183 CE, Sensat contacted Garrus Vakarian when he hacked his team's communications, conducting an interview with Garrus during an ambush the squad was staging at the time with Midnight. At the end of the interview, Sensat demonstrated his abilities by using a sonic pulse transmitted through Midnight's headsets to deafen the mercs, allowing Garrus' team to pick them off: Garrus then accepted Sensat into his squad, welcoming his skill set. For nearly two years, Sensat helped the team wage war on the station's criminals, hacking enemy communications to either disrupt or monitor them, breaking into PMC mainframes to steal data or purge it, creating havoc amongst enemy formations with sonic pulses or overheating their weapons, and much more. Sensat's eccentric personality constantly brought him into conflict with the more austere members of the team, such as Postivius Ramsis and Fal Erash, but he got along well with Makk'Veshli and Kay Vortash, the former of which Sensat considered a little brother and the latter of which a good friend. Sensat was one of the few members of the team to argue for cutting their losses towards the end, viewing their work as done and wanting to cash in while they could, but was convinced with the others to use his money to fund further operations, and Sensat would use it to buy a better omni-tool and better applications for combat. Not a particularly good soldier, Sensat preferred to stay out of direct combat, although Garrus did insist on having Caity Monteague teach him how to use a pistol at the very least. Working with Makk, Sensat's technical abilities were unparalleled on the team, and he took pride in his work, boasting about how much damage he had done to Jona Sederis' reputation by leaking her communiques and hoping to be there when she was killed one day.

In July 2185 CE, Sensat Aben was in the team's headquarters of the Suri-Kara Hotel with the rest of the team (except for Garrus and Sidonis, the former of which was investigating a lead and the latter doing a supply run) talking with Monteague when the Blue Suns and Blood Pack launched a surprise raid on their base, having captured and tortured Sidonis into giving up his team and leading Garrus away on a false lead as bait. Sensat was in the main lounge when the attack opened with a series of rocket attacks and grenades tossed through windows, with Sensat killed immediately when a grenade exploded directly in front of him, his body's positioning saving Monteague from the blast but eviscerating his own, leaving his scorched and mutilated body on the floor. Upon returning to the hideout to find his dead squad, Garrus gathered Sensat's body along with the rest into body bags, lining them up in their living quarters to keep them outside the carnage of the Kima Siege. Garrus was unable to recover Sensat's body after he was extracted by the Normandy Squad, but later scratched Sensat's name, along with the names of the rest of his squad, into his eyepiece in an effort to remember them.
