SSV Agincourt HD-4 (Heavy Defense-4) was a Melbourne-class heavy frigate in the Alliance Navy. The fourth ship of the class to be built, the Agincourt was assigned to the Second Fleet under Admiral Kastanie Drescher. As part of the Second Fleet, the Agincourt took part in patrol duties throughout the "Alliance heartland", largely operating out the Second Fleet's home port of Elysium: despite to Elysium's proximity to the Hegemony border, the Agincourt saw very little action with slavers, largely due to the large Alliance naval presence in the area: the Agincourt was always close by, patrolling nearby systems whenever it wasn't in the Vetus system directly. This proximity placed the Agincourt as the first Alliance ship to respond to the massive slaver attack on Elysium in 2176 CE, the battle that kicked off the Skyllian Blitz: the Agincourt was the first to arrive on the scene, where it maintained its distance and scouted out the enemy naval force while awaiting Drescher's reinforcements. After four more ships arrived, the Agincourt spearheaded a sally into the batarian fleet's rear, scattering the poorly defended elements assigned to guarding that flank, allowing the ship to score over a dozen kills on its own. By the time the slaver fleet began to assemble to counter the attack, Drescher arrived on her flagship SSV Shasta at the head of a larger detachment of the Second Fleet, and thanks to the efforts of the Agincourt and the ships accompanying it, the Second Fleet easily routed the remnants of the slaver fleet, which proved no match for proper Alliance warships. Following the battle, the Agincourt would later help Second Fleet forces pursue and destroy a regrouping chunk of the surviving slaver fleet: later, it accompanied the rest of the Second Fleet and participated in the Battle of the Dhelile System. Following the Skyllian Blitz, the Agincourt was assigned as an escort for the Queen Elizabeth, one of two supercarriers of the Second Fleet, with Drescher personally congratulating the crew on their quick thinking at the Battle of Elysium. The Agincourt accompanied the Second Fleet when it was recalled to Earth to bolster the Fourth and Fifth fleets in defending the planet during the opening stages of what was believed at the time to be an Hegemony invasion. The Agincourt was subsequently destroyed with the rest of the Second Fleet at the Fall of Earth.
The ship was named after the Battle of Agincourt of the Hundred Years' War.
