- Liara T'Soni: "Where is Tazzik going? Scanners aren't picking up anything on the planet's surface...in fact, I'm not picking up anything at all."
- Feron Huul: "That's how the Broker wants it. Scans and broadcasts can't penetrate Alingon's magnetosphere...there's a base down there. And so is Shepard's body."

The Raid on Alingon, also known as the Raid on Waystation X-RAY, was a decisive raid by Liara T'Soni and Feron Huul on the clandestine Shadow Broker installation of Waystation X-RAY on the planet Alingon that served as the initial conclusion of the War for the Corpse. After setting up a fake meeting on Omega with the Collectors in order to lure and ambush Liara T'Soni, Gukon Tazzik took his shuttle, which never had Shepard's body in the first place, as it was still stored at Waystation X-RAY on Alingon, and left for Alingon, intending to arrive to meet with the true Collector delegation where the transaction would be finalized and the exchange facilitated. Back on Omega however, the Shadow Broker's ambush failed to kill Liara as Cerberus arrived to cover her retreat and Feron Huul, believed to still be working for the Broker as a double agent, had known about the fake meeting and placed a tracking beacon on Tazzik's ship before he left. Not wanting to lose him, Feron and Liara pursued Tazzik for several days as his shuttle made numerous stops on the way, refueling and restocking his shuttle whilst shaking off any potential pursuers, although Feron and Liara were careful to ensure Tazzik didn't know he was being followed. Finally, in the late hours of 12 April, Tazzik arrived at Alingon, with Liara and Feron arriving shortly after. Orbiting the planet for a day as they came up with a plan and Feron revealed his true motives as a triple agent working for Cerberus to Liara, Feron and Liara descended down to Waystation X-RAY, where Feron took Liara inside under the disguise of her being his prisoner brought for interrogation. Once inside, Feron and Liara made their way to the command center, where they incapacitated the guards and began sifting through the mainframe for any information on why the Collectors wanted Shepard's body. During this time, the Shadow Broker contacted the base for an update and, when confronted by Liara instead, engaged in a delaying action, stalling Liara by answering her questions about the Collectors' motives. Noticing Feron in the room, the Broker realizes he's been betrayed, but Feron shuts down the communications array before he can warn the base: before he's cut off, he taunts Liara by claiming the transaction was already finalized, leaving Liara to angrily tear the command center apart with her biotics. This alerted security, who came to investigate, with Feron and Liara hastily leaving before they arrived.
On their way to Tazzik's shuttle, Feron hands Liara an OSD with information regarding the Broker's activities, giving her a stepping stone for exposing him. Just as they reach Tazzik's shuttle, they run into Tazzik himself and a Possessed Collector, with the former about to hand over the body to the Collector in question. Feron is close to convincing Tazzik that Liara is a prisoner, but the Collector is able to read his mind and reveals Feron's treachery. Punching Tazzik and shooting two nearby mercs, Feron keeps Tazzik busy while Liara escapes: Liara knocks aside the Collector with her biotics and rushes into the shuttle, quickly taking off as Tazzik counterattacks and begins violently beating Feron, doing so until he is completely knocked unconscious. By this time, Liara has escaped in the shuttle, quickly departing the system before any pursuers could come after her. Re-establishing contact with the base, the Broker learns that Tazzik lost the body, but upon learning Feron was captured alive, orders the drell sent to the Halcyon so he can punish him personally for his betrayal. The Collectors left Alingon in short order, and despite the Broker's assurances he would recover the body, they had no further interest in getting the corpse and instead turned their attentions fully to their colony abductions, viewing the loss as a minor setback and that Cerberus' attempts to resurrect Shepard were doomed to failure anyway. Liara later arrived on Illium and handed the body over to Cerberus to take to Lazarus Station, and shortly thereafter formed her own information network, with the sole intent of bringing down the Broker. The Raid on Alingon effectively marked the end of the brief War for the Corpse, at least initially, as the Broker lost the body and Cerberus had possession of it, but despite all of that, the Broker never stopped trying to reclaim it, and only a month later would bribe Lazarus tech chief Albert Wilson to be a spy to monitor Lazarus' success, looking for an opportunity. The Attack on Lazarus Station marked the official end of the conflict, after just over a year of intermission.
