QMFV Rayya, renamed the ORS Kandros during its service in the ODF, was a quarian liveship in the quarian Migrant Fleet. One of the three liveships that served in the quarian flotilla, the Rayya was at the forefront of the Fleet's history, and the most famous out of the three liveships. The Rayya is three centuries old, having been present during the final days of the First Morning War. It continued to serve with distinction, where it served as the birthplace of Tali'Zorah, the site of a joint Shadow Broker-Cerberus raid and fought during both the Second Morning War and Reaper War. It was the only liveship to survive the Second Battle of Earth, and would go on to be decommissioned several years later. By 2183 CE, the ship was under the command of Captain Kar'Danna vas Rayya. When he was killed during the Raid on the Rayya, he was replaced by his son, Qet'Danna. The ship later became the flagship of Tali'Shepard after the Reaper War, and remained so until its decommissioning. Just before being scrapped however, Aria T'Loak purchased the vessel and recommissioned it under the name ORS Kandros, where it was refitted with newer technology to serve in the Omega Defense Fleet. Following the end of the Third War for Omega, it was fully decommissioned.
The ship was named after Clan Rayya, one of three ancient, extinct quarian clans from the quarian Bronze Age who founded the first quarian settlement in the Age of Unity. Its new name, Kandros, refers to Nyreen Kandros, former leader of the Talons and war hero of the Second War for Omega.
