- "The primes are the ones you have to really keep an eye on. Taller than any human and stronger than a krogan, primes command the battlefield. Their little combat drones can harass the enemy whilst also repairing any damage they take in the process. Their kinetic barriers can absorb enormous amounts of firepower, and their pulse cannons are not only capable of tearing through ranks of reckless soldiers, but can even penetrate the armor of a Mako. They have the power of an armature, but without sacrificing the mobility. Suffice to say, primes are the biggest threat posed on the field."

The Prime-class combat platform, known as the Geth Prime colloquially, is a subclass of the geth consensus. Taller than a juggernaut, but similar in design, the Prime was one of the two types of geth that existed before the First Morning War. Originally a heavy construction and demolitions unit designed for jobs the smaller trooper-class couldn't pull off, it, during the war, became the geth's anti-armor unit when dealing with quarian armoured units. After the war, the prime capitalized on this concept, and was given thicker armor, better shields and superior weaponry. Becoming one of the most infamous geth platforms in existence, the prime has gained notoriety for being an almost unstoppable force: armed with a powerful pulse cannon and capable of deploying a combat drone for support and combat repairs, the prime is a mobile artillery piece in its own right, completely capable of wiping out entire platoons of enemy infantry by itself.
Primes are usually accompanied by smaller geth infantry to support it, such as troopers, destroyers, hoppers or juggernauts. Primes can also come in groups of two to five, where they will either be defending a crucial position or escorting armature or colossi tanks.
