The Predator L medium combat armor was a ceramic-based protective medium combat armor manufactured by Hahne-Kedar Solutions. Manufactured and entering service in 2173 CE, the Predator L armor was made for use by law enforcement organizations, primarily by their tactical teams, providing them with a powerful defense system during raids and other dangerous situations. Designed for use by humans, asari, turians and krogan, the Predator L was first adopted by C-Sec, followed shortly by turian and asari law enforcement, then human, and eventually across the galaxy: it also found a use as far as Tuchanka, where krogan clan chiefs would employ the krogan variant of the armor for their troops. The Predator L was designed to provide protection against fragmentation, explosions and gunfire, and its helmet possessed an auto-rebreather to protect against chemical attack. Being medium armor, it had moderate damage protection and was outfitted with decent kinetic barriers, balancing out damage protection and strong shields with the flexibility and mobility afforded to lighter armors. The Predator L armor would be phased out by 2184 CE, replaced by the Coyote modular assault armor and LAW enforcer armor in use by human, turian and asari law enforcement, with the Coyote being Hahne-Kedar's homegrown successor and replacement for the Predator L line.
