The Pinnacle pistol was a semi-automatic heat sink-based block-fed precision pistol manufactured by Jormangund Technologies. Manufactured and entering service in 2181 CE, the Pinnacle pistol was a state-of-the-art, high quality precision pistol designed for use by mercenary contractors and military forces: while publicly available, the weapon was very expensive, keeping it outside the ballpark of all but the most determined gun collectors and fanatics. Integrating a more advanced heat bleed system, the Torrent was kept from overheating even when firing consistently: recoil mitigation also allows the pistol to be more precise than most others on the market, with very little bullet spread and capable of a range of up to 80 meters. The weapon was, in design, succeeded by the M-6 Carnifex following the introduction of the thermal clip in 2184 CE, which replaced block-fed weapons wholesale across the entire galaxy following the Battle of the Citadel. A spiritual successor came in the form of the M-5 Phalanx, which possessed the same focus on quick, accurate shots at long distances.
