The Phantom light combat armor was a ceramic-based protective light combat armor manufactured by Serrice Council. Manufactured and entering service in 2146 CE, the Phantom armor was designed for use exclusively by turians, with the contract for the armor being for the Hierarchy Armed Forces to produce Phantom armor for turian light and paratroops. The Phantom armor would also see use outside the turian military, with turian Spectre Nihlus Kryik making extensive use of the armor due to its flexibility, light weight and low maintenance design, allowing him to use it for days without needing to run constant checks on his equipment. The Phantom armor would also see more frequent use within special forces divisions of the turian military, namely the Blackwatch and Cabal Corps. Being light armor, it had low damage protection and was outfitted with somewhat weak kinetic barriers, but was extremely flexible and lightweight. The Phantom armor would be phased out by 2184 CE, replaced by the Kaphus light tactical armor across the turian military.
