"It's the Alliance! Thank the Goddess!"
— Lidanya upon seeing the Alliance reinforcements during the Battle of the Citadel.

Matriarch-Captain Lidanya V'mosus was an experienced asari matriarch, and famously known as the commander of the ARW Destiny Ascension, the pride of the asari fleet. Lidanya joined the asari navy as soon as she entered her matron stage, wanting to engage in her love for starships, as well as serve Thessia. She was highly religious, holding strongly to the old faith, believing that the goddess Athame had guided them to the stars. She was only in her mid matron stage when she attained her first command, and it wouldn't be until well into her matriarch stage when she finally landed command of the then-brand new Destiny Ascension, and reassigned to the Citadel Defense Fleet. It was here that she would participate in the Battle of the Citadel during the Eden Prime War, where her quick actions got the Council to safety during the attack. She was offered a promotion afterwards, but chose to remain in command of the Ascension, remaining so well into the Reaper War. Her quick thinking once again saved the CDF from total destruction when the Reapers took the Citadel, allowing for her ship and the survivors to link up with the Victory Fleet and participate in the Battle of Sol. It was there where Lidanya would ultimately meet her fate, her ship destroyed and her crew along with it during the course of the battle.
