"There isn't a day I don't think about them...I don't sleep. I wake up hot, panting...their eyes staring down at me, judging me...I don't eat. Food...has no taste. I gave them up because those mercs were going to kill me...but now I'm thinking I'm already dead, and that if I had at least died with my mouth shut, my name would be remembered with fondness, and not at the end of a barrel. Tell Garrus...I...I guess there's nothing I can say to make it right."
— Sidonis to Commander Shepard just before Garrus calls off his plan to assassinate him.

Chief Warrant Officer Lantar Sidonis was an officer in the Army of Palaven and a founding member of Archangel's Omega Squad. Born on Parthia, Sidonis enlisted in the turian army when he was 15, as required by all turian citizens, and completed his required years of service as a communications specialist. He left the army as soon as his required years were completed, selling his home on Parthia and leaving to live on Omega, where he bought an apartment and got a local job as a repairman for omni-tools: while his first few years there were problem free, he lost his job when the manager of his shop could no longer pay the Blue Suns their protection fees, resulting in a robbery that lost him the majority of the store's products, forcing him to close the shop and leaving Sidonis jobless. Unable to pay his rent, he took a loan from a loan shark, using it to pay for transport off of Omega to take him to the Citadel: when the loan shark realized he'd been duped, he hired Blood Pack to hunt down and bring Sidonis back to him to get back the money he's owed. The Blood Pack successfully tracked Sidonis back to the Citadel and hunted him for a day until he was saved by Garrus Vakarian, a recent war hero, who killed the mercs and befriended Sidonis. Upon learning of the situation on Omega, Garrus took Sidonis back with him to Omega where the former enlisted Sidonis' help in recruiting a team to fight back against the criminals and mercenaries of the station. Sidonis did the research on the team's recruits, eventually landing on ten recruits that made up Garrus' team, and Sidonis quickly landed himself as the team's communications specialist and Garrus' second-in-command, with Sidonis building listening devices to tap into mercenary communications and helping to encrypt theirs. For the next two years, Sidonis earned the trust of Garrus and the entire team, proving invaluable to their efforts to make Omega a better place and end the tyranny of the mercs.

In mid 2185 CE, Sidonis was on a supply run when he was grabbed by Blue Suns outside the store and taken to a secure location to be tortured and interrogated. Learning of a secret alliance between the Blue Suns, Eclipse and Blood Pack to take Archangel's squad down, Sidonis was coerced into luring Garrus away from the base using the lie of a false lead on the Blood Pack so that the Blue Suns could launch a surprise attack on the base while he was gone. Sidonis finally broke and gave them what they wanted, with the Blue Suns watching him as he contacted Garrus and laid the trap: after doing so, Sidonis was let go and allowed to live, with the mercenaries telling him to leave and never return, wanting him to live with the guilt of betraying his team. As he was booking passage off the station, Sidonis learnt of the attack and the deaths of the entire squad, with Garrus becoming trapped inside the hotel as the mercenaries closed in to finish him off. Sidonis fled to the Citadel, where he enlisted help from a man named "Fade" to change his identity and start a new life. Despite all of this and hearing of Archangel's death, Sidonis carried the guilt of his betrayal, making his life a misery.

A couple of months later, Sidonis is summoned to a meeting by Fade when he finds out his identity is compromised, only to be confronted by Commander Shepard during the meeting and realizing the meeting was a trap to lure Sidonis out to be killed by Garrus, who was alive and wanting revenge. Sidonis' admission of guilt and prodding from Shepard causes Garrus to second guess and eventually call off his assassination, letting Sidonis live. Sidonis, wanting to redeem himself, turns himself into C-Sec and confesses to the murders of his team, although he is not convicted because the crimes occurred in the Terminus Systems. When the Reaper War came around, Sidonis saw his chance and re-enlisted in the Army when the reserves were called up, requesting reassignment to the Citadel refugee camp to help refugees, which was accepted. Sidonis was present when Cerberus attacked the station, where he helped hack Cerberus communications, taking command of a team of soldiers and C-Sec officers in liberating the refugee camp from Cerberus control. Word of his exploits reached Garrus after the battle, who sought out Sidonis and talked with him: while Garrus is unable to ever forgive Sidonis for his betrayal, he respects him for doing the right thing. Towards the end of the war, the Reapers attacked and captured the Citadel, with Sidonis assembling his team again to herd refugees and other civilians to the fallout bunkers to survive the attack: in order to buy the remaining civilians time to escape to safety, Sidonis and his team held a checkpoint against Reaper troops, refusing to leave his team again: it is here that Sidonis and the rest of his team are killed, eventually overwhelmed by Reaper forces, but not before buying the civilians more than enough time to seal the bunker, saving them from capture by the Reapers.
