The Kessler pistol was a semi-automatic heat sink-based block-fed pistol manufactured by Hahne-Kedar Solutions. Manufactured and entering service in 2170 CE, the Kessler was designed as a budget pistol for use by the civilian population, and as such it was generally considered a mediocre product, encountering frequent issues with overheating easily and the ammo block frequently jamming up the weapon. Despite a consistent rate of fire, its armor penetration was pitiful and its accuracy lacking, with the weapon almost entirely intended for use as a home defense weapon. The weapon was, in design, succeeded by the M-3 Predator following the introduction of the thermal clip in 2184 CE, which replaced block-fed weapons wholesale across the entire galaxy following the Battle of the Citadel. The Kessler has no direct successor, with Hahne-Kedar having almost entirely transitioned into the manufacture of mechanized infantry forces, with their premiere RAGNAROK-series of mechs used across the galaxy.
