Humanity's Sanctum
From FABT
Humanity's Sanctum was a colloquial term used by members of Cerberus to refer to the personal office of the Illusive Man, located at the very top of Cronos Station. By far the most spacious room of the entire space station, it had a semi-circular, tinted windowed wall that gave an unobstructed view of Anadius, with the Illusive Man himself seated in the middle with his personal suite of holographic terminals from which he could contact and coordinate his organization from the comfort of his office. In 2182 CE, a QEC was installed within the room, allowing the Illusive Man to speak face to face with operatives of interest. The term 'humanity's sanctum' arose to describe the space among Cerberus members, referring to the fact that all of Cerberus' operations, geared towards helping humanity, were planned and orchestrated from the Illusive Man's office. The Illusive Man himself very rarely left the room, only leaving when he needed to sleep or when he wished to personally check on the station's operations.
Perhaps ironically, the room also saw the end of Cerberus as an organization, as it was the place where Cerberus was finally defeated in the Reaper War with the death of the Illusive Man at the hands of Marcus L. Shepard. The office, with the rest of Cronos Station, was scuttled following the war.
