"Normally we offer the best equipment, but the HMOT isn't what I'd consider fitting the bill. Just buy a Savant."
— Turian requisitions officer.

The HetM/Omni-Tool, also known as the Spectre omni-tool and simply known as HMOT, was an omni-tool model manufactured by Spectre Requisitions for use by Spectres. The HMOT was the most expensive omni-tool in the galaxy, costing a total of 300,000 to purchase a single unit. Unlike with most Spectre gear however, the HMOT omni-tool was not quite as high-end as the price demanded, possessing comparatively worse stats when compared to the Savant omni-tool, which is superior in shield bonuses, tech cooldown and even med recharge. Even after the integration of the Chameleon's medi-gel instant application software kit, the HMOT still underperformed in this regard compared to the Chameleon itself, and it was ultimately ignored by most Spectre operatives in favor of the Savant or Chameleon for these roles. The HMOT was phased out by 2184 CE, with sales underperformed compared to expectations and Spectre Requisitions ultimately cutting back its manufacturing capacity. The HMOT has no successor.
