"My dear Feron, you have no idea what awaits you. You should know by now betraying the Broker is a fool's notion. Their disappointment in you will far exceed mine."
— Tazzik to Feron Huul after the latter's capture in 2184 CE following the Raid on Alingon.

Operative Gukon Tazzik was an enforcer and hitman who worked for both the 89th and 90th Shadow Brokers, fighting for the former during the War for the Corpse and War on the 89th Shadow Broker, and working with the latter during the Reaper War. Born on Dagnes, Tazzik was a particularly large specimen as far as salarians were concerned, being stronger and taller than his other brethren, a rare mutation that existed in the salarian species. This "disability" made him particularly intimidating, and as he grew older, he only got taller, peaking at a height of 7.1' and being strong enough to take even a krogan in hand-to-hand combat. Tazzik's skillset took him to the Terminus Systems, as his low social strata meant he couldn't advance far anyway, and so the only opportunities that existed for him were those beyond salarian space. Mocked as a child for his size, many of his peers mistook him for being "dumb", although this didn't faze Tazzik and his intelligence matched that of any other salarian, only with strength and size to match his intellect. Seeking work as a mercenary, Tazzik's methodical and lethal nature made him ideal for work as a hitman, contracted to eliminate targets of any occupation or way of life, even krogan, who he dispatched with ease: Tazzik's size also made him useful as a bodyguard, surprising those he encountered due to his physical capabilities. As time went on Tazzik's talents as a freelance hitman caught the attention of the Shadow Broker, and in 2175 CE, he was officially hired into the Broker's organization as a full-time hitman and the Broker's chief enforcer, taking note of the salarian's unique talents and wanting to use them to their own ends: in time, Tazzik became one of the Broker's best agents, even entrusted with leading the Broker's private army during the more important operations and, when required, was sent by the Broker to personally represent him in deals or to oversee sensitive activities.

In 2184 CE, Tazzik was assigned by the Broker (actually the Broker's yahg assistant) to retrieve the body of Commander Shepard from Alchera, as Feron Huul, the agent originally assigned to retrieve it, was caught up in an effort to sabotage Cerberus' own plans to retrieve it for Project Lazarus. Upon obtaining the body, Tazzik was ordered to take it to Waystation X-RAY, one of the Broker's bases on Alingon, wanting to keep it there while Tazzik attended a fake meeting with the Collectors on Omega, as the Broker knew Cerberus was onto them and that they would attempt a raid there. Once he had sprung Cerberus' trap, Tazzik returned to Alingon where the body actually was and where the actual transaction would take place, unaware his ship was being tracked by Feron, who predicted the deception. Tazzik personally sealed the deal with a Collector intermediary, only to run into Feron and Liara T'Soni on their way out of the base, having completed their mission. Tazzik was alerted to Feron's treachery when the Collector read Feron's mind, and Tazzik personally engaged Feron as the drell bought time for Liara to escape. Angered that he had lost the body, Tazzik took out his anger on a defeated Feron, beating him bloody before sending him off to the Broker's base to be punished for his betrayal. The Broker did not blame Tazzik for his failure and continued to use him for future operations. In 2185 CE, Tazzik would lead the teams that facilitated the Illium Terrorist Attacks during the War on the 89th Shadow Broker, doing so in lieu of Tela Vasir, a Spectre agent on the Broker's payroll who had been killed by Shepard earlier. After the war, Tazzik believed nothing was amiss until Feron made his reappearance, now reappointed by the Broker to be the head of all Terminus operations. While Tazzik found this suspicious (and eventually concluded the coup had succeeded and he was working for a new Broker) and resented having to take orders from Feron initially, he grew to accept it and remained of the Broker's most powerful agents, especially in the lead up to the Reaper War.

Tazzik would lead many of the Broker's units during the Reaper invasion of 2186 CE, and even fought several battles with Cerberus. Tazzik was often deployed to eliminate those suspected of indoctrination and, in the later stages, to kill top Cerberus scientists or military officials. Tazzik caused untold damage to Cerberus' military leadership as a result, with Cerberus placing a bounty on his head and making him the number one target of much of Cerberus' assassin corps, namely Kai Leng's Wolfpack phantoms. Tazzik finally met his end when Cerberus assassins finally tracked him down on Capek at one of the Broker's bases, Waystation BRAVO: Tazzik's death proved a costly victory for Cerberus however, as he was able to kill many of their assassins before they brought him down, and the rest were killed or severely injured when a fuel dump they fought a few inches away from detonated, the charges set to explode if his heart ceased, tearing apart the facility and killing 50 of the 67 assassins sent to kill him. Having known his time was up, and already advanced in age by salarian standards (he was four months short of his 36th birthday when he died), Tazzik had planned out his response to the raid and had expected it, accepting his fate and going out in a blaze of glory, killing as many of his would-be assassins as he could in the process.
