"The first space station built by humans after the discovery of the Mars Archives, and certainly not the last."
Kaidan describing Gagarin Station.

Gagarin Station, nicknamed Jump Zero, was a space station in the Sol system of the Local cluster, orbiting Earth. After the discovery of the Mars Archives in 2148 CE, interest in space exploration across the globe maximized, ultimately leading to the birth of the Systems Alliance a year later. Using the technology they now had access to, the Systems Alliance, with the help of all nine of Earth's nations, the International Space Station was scrapped and rebuilt as Gagarin Station. The name "Jump Zero" was given to the station in reference to the many failed attempts at faster-than-light travel. The station was also home to the brief BAaT program run by Conatix Industries. The station fell to the Reapers after their attack on Earth on June 2, 2186 CE. It is unknown why the Reapers chose to leave the station intact, but it was later found to have been turned into a massive joint-conversion facility-battle station: this was observed during the Battle of Sol at the end of the war, but it was destroyed through the combined fire of the UGC fleets, with a final shot from Legion's Gift striking the killer blow.
