The Cronos High Command (CROHICOM), also known as simply Cerberus High Command, was the highest operational command of the Cerberus Armed Forces under the Illusive Man. Cronos High Command was in charge of all subcommands of the Cerberus military, and in direct command of all the branches of Cerberus' military division, which included all installations, personnel, resources and equipment fielded and owned by Cerberus' military forces being subordinate to Cronos High Command. Formed shortly after Cerberus' creation, Cronos High Command was created with the purpose of coordinating Cerberus military forces, which at the time was small and mostly limited to a handful of ships and specialized strike units. As Cerberus grew, so did its available manpower and the power of its military, expanding High Command's responsibilities as it did, as well as the forces at its command. Headquartered in its own section of Cronos Station, Cronos High Command was responsible for directing several military operations at the behest of the Illusive Man, and on occasion was placed in charge of not just the military division, but also the political and scientific divisions where their jurisdictions crossed. Cronos High Command ultimately only answered to the Illusive Man, although it was free to operate at its own discretion as to the full execution of the Illusive Man's orders, unless circumstances required his direct intervention.
As Cronos High Command expanded, the number of subcommands grew, tasked with directing the ever growing amount of military forces at Cerberus' command. Initially, there was only the Cerberus Special Operations Command and Cerberus Naval Command, but by 2165 CE, Cerberus' ground forces had expanded enough that Special Operations Command became more specialized, and Cerberus Army Command was created to assume command over all of the Cerberus Army. The Cronos High Command consisted of all the senior members of Cerberus' officer corps, such as Fleet Admiral Nolan P. Freemont of the Navy, General Émeric Micheaux of the Army and Lt. General Gladys "Legionnaire" Phillips of the Special Strike Forces. In late 2185 CE, the Illusive Man appointed General Oleg Petrovsky, the former commander of the Cerberus Army, the new rank of Supreme Commander of the Cerberus Armed Forces, granting him supreme command over the entire Cerberus Armed Forces and making him the head of Cronos High Command. By the time of Cerberus' collapse, the second and final supreme commander was Nolan P. Freemont, appointed the command after the liberation of Omega and Petrovsky's capture by the UGC.
During the Battle of Cronos Station, the surviving members of Cronos High Command had either transferred to the Cerberus fleet to assist in the organization's last stand against the UGC, or were still on the station when it was boarded, and were either killed or captured, bringing an effective end to the organization. Some members were secretly evacuated to Titan prior to the UGC's arrival, with the hope they would reform Cronos High Command and command the remaining Cerberus forces for the remainder of the war. Any surviving members of the organization who were implanted were killed when the Crucible fired, which were all of the Cerberus officers present on Titan.
