The Commune of the Hierarchs is the hierarchical government of Palaven and its colonies that constituted the Turian Hierarchy. Serving as the primary leadership and government of the entire Turian Hierarchy, the Commune of the Hierarchs is composed of three hundred hierarchs, with the Primarch and the Metarch at the top. Other members of the Commune include the ArchGeneral of the army and marine corps and the Didact of the Navy. It is also the Commune of the Hierarchs who ultimately vote and decide who their Council member will be. The Commune was formed after, and in response to, the Unification War, replacing the former Imperial Commune.

The Commune was disbanded after the annexation of Palaven during the Post-Apocalyptic War, but was later reformed after the formation of the Neo-Turian Empire.
