- "The last man of Joyrloc is only the beginning."
- — Clan Joyrloc motto.
Clan Joyrloc was a minor krogan clan on Tuchanka. Formed during the Golden Age of Tuchanka that followed the end of the Tuchankan Wars by Strirgon Greex, Clan Joyrloc began as a cadet branch of Clan Strirgon until breaking off in 2985 BCE to become an independent clan: regardless, Joyrloc maintaied strong diplomatic relations with Strirgon for centuries, and would remain a staunch ally of the clan, joining it in numerous wars that took place over the course of the clan's existence. Joyrloc Hall, the stronghold that served as the home of the clan, was built sometime in 2982 BCE in the Ialsouck region, and would command a small parcel of land, maintaining only a moderately sized military force as it relied on its larger Strirgon neighbour to provide protection and security for its borders, effectively making Joyrloc a client state to Strirgon. In 2600 BCE, Joyrloc would join Strirgon and its allies when it was annexed into the Durydok Empire, an increasingly belligerent military force that at the time was waging a series of military campaigns to carve out a piece of the Kelphic Valley and Trisek'lok regions for itself, although its power would wane over the centuries: by 1740 BCE, Joyrloc territory was used to store launch sites for nuclear ICBMs used by the Durydok military, and this made Joyrloc one of many priority targets when the planet plunged into nuclear war in 1260 BCE, which almost resulted in the complete destruction of the clan when thousands of its members perished, but they managed to survive, even during the thousand year nuclear winter that occurred after.
When the salarians uplifted the krogan in 40 CE, Joyrloc was one of many clans to enjoy the fruits of the technology given to them, and Joyrloc troops would proceed to fight for the Tuchankan Empire in the Fourth Rachni War. After the Krogan Rebellions, Joyrloc would side with the Tuchankan Imperialists during the Krogan Civil Wars, never faltering in their loyalty to Clan Strirgon and believing firmly in the restoration of the empire and wanting revenge for the genophage. Following the decline and subsequent destruction of Strirgon following the Final War of Clan Strirgon in 1246 CE, Clan Joyrloc found itself having to support Clan Weyrloc in the Wars of the Strirgon Succession in which Clan Urdnot was the victor, assuming control of the now rebranded Traditionalists, with Joyrloc having lost a decent amount of its warriors. Joyrloc became a client clan of Urdnot until 1572 CE when it declared its neutrality, forcing Joyrloc to swear fealty to Clan Weyrloc, who then proceeded to use Joyrloc auxiliaries to bolster its numerous military campaigns, only furthering Joyrloc's steady decline. In 2184 CE during Wrex's War, Joyrloc willingly surrendered to the UKC, with chieftain Joyrloc Stroyase wanting to infiltrate Urdnot Keep and stage a coup to overthrow Urdnot Wrex and hopefully begin a popular uprising to topple the UKC. However a series of miscalculations and poor Traditionalist intelligence led to supposed allies of Joyrloc within the UKC informing Wrex of his plan, resulting in Joyrloc's warriors being slaughtered by their supposed allies and Wrex's own troops, with Stroyase killed in the process. Their military stamped out, Wrex then branded uraysh, and a UKC force stormed Jurydoc Hall, destroying the stronghold, annexing Joyrloc's remaining lands and splitting them between Clan Strak and Clan Pedak as a reward for their loyalty, their females reassigned to a female clan, banishing Stroyase's only remaining son to walk the wasteland until he dies, and allowing what remaining Joyrloc warriors are left to join other clans as they see fit or, if refusing to do so, to die in combat. As such, Clan Joyrloc ceased to exist after the Destruction of Joyrloc Hall.
