The Citadel Docks were the central dockyards of the Citadel, each dispersed across each of the station's five arms. The first docks were built by the Asari Republics following their discovery of the Citadel in 580 BCE, initially serving as docking bays for their vessels to land on the space station as the asari began their exploration of the colossal station. As the decades went on, and the asari settled into the Citadel, the docks were improved to accomodate larger ships, and even more after the station was established as a major hub in asari territory. The establishment of the Asari-Salarian Pact saw the docks being used a lot more often, with the asari and salarians building them across all five wards so as to free up traffic. With the establishment of the Citadel Traffic and Transport Control Authority in 491 BCE, the Citadel Docks passed into their jurisdiction, with well over 920 independent docks having been built and in-use by 110 BCE.
The Citadel Docks have remained as the station's oldest surviving structure that had not been part of its original superstructure, and while it would be tossed around numerous organizations over the millenia, its purpose and use remained the same. The Citadel Docks were destroyed with the rest of the Citadel in 2253 CE.
