The Cerberus Naval Command (CERNAVCOM) was an operational subcommand of the Cerberus Armed Forces under the Cronos High Command that was in direct command of all elements, ships, resources, installations and equipment of the Cerberus Navy with the exception of the special forces, who operated under the separate Cerberus Special Operations Command. Originally one of two higher subcommands of the Cerberus Armed Forces when it was initially created, Cerberus Naval Command was created to handle the operations of the nascent Cerberus Navy, which at the time only consisted of requisitioned former Alliance corvettes and refitted freighters with makeshift armaments. Basing its command model off of the Systems Alliance Naval Command, Cerberus Naval Command coordinated all naval assets and naval operations under Cerberus' umbrella, with the exception of those science vessels under the direction of the science division. The senior commanding officer of CERNAVCOM by 2186 CE was Fleet Admiral Nolan P. Freemont, and he was subsequently the last to hold this position.

During the Battle of Cronos Station, the surviving members of Cerberus Naval Command either remained on the station to help direct the actions of the Navy during Cerberus' final stand against the UGC assault, or were secretly evacuated to Titan prior to the UGC's arrival where they were intended to establish themselves and continue the war once the Reapers "inevitably" won the Battle of Sol, an outcome which did not eventuate, and the firing of the Crucible killed the remaining members of the Army, Special Forces and Naval commands sheltering on Titan, as they were all implanted.
