The Assassin light tactical armor was a ceramic-based protective light tactical armor manufactured by Elkoss Combine. Manufactured and entering service in 1788 CE, the Assassin armor was designed for use by turians and asari mercenaries, and saw use within many of the smaller and larger PMC groups, including the Blue Suns and Eclipse. Two types of the Assassin armor would ultimately be designed, one for turians and the other for asari, although the asari variant had to be go through further revision when humans arrived on the galactic scene, with a third variant built for male humans to use. Being light armor, it had low damage protection and was outfitted with somewhat weak kinetic barriers, but was extremely flexible and lightweight. The Assassin armor would be phased out by 2184 CE, entirely replaced by the Stormtrooper armor in use by human, asari and turian mercenaries.
