"As odd as it is powerful, the armature is a testament to the oddity of geth architecture, but also holds the title of 'walking tank' for a reason. Its siege pulse makes it dangerous to all but the heaviest of armoured vehicles, and its machine gun has been known to tear through the ranks of the cockiest of Alliance marine squads."
— Field Combat Report Analysis, Systems Intelligence Administration.

The Armature-class combat platform, known as the Geth Armature colloquially, is a subclass of the geth consensus. The Armature was first developed and deployed forty years after the First Morning War following the boom in geth manufacturing and the rise of Geth Armoury. Armed with a built-in medium plasma cannon and a powerful siege pulse, the armature is employed as a form of light tank, using its weaponry to carve a path through the battlefield for an infantry advance. While lacking speed and maneuverability, the armature able to go toe-to-toe with other armoured units such as the M35 Mako, making it a good anti-armor offensive vehicle. The armature, while powerful, is outclassed by its larger cousin, the Colossus, which is similar to the armature in both weaponry and design, but augmented in every area. They will often be accompanied by enemy forces to supplement its vulernability to flanking maneuvers, as its turning speed leaves it defenseless against fast-moving vehicles and infantry.
