Anadius is a star system located in the Horse Head Nebula, and formerly the location of the headquarters of Cerberus. A star system with no planets and only one star, Anadius was ignored by the Citadel Council during their colonization of the rest of the Horse Head Nebula, although they did establish several naval outposts in the system for military purposes during the Renegade Crisis to spy on the Tuchankan Empire. After the war, these outposts were decommissioned and removed, leaving the system uninhabited for centuries. The Systems Alliance established a listening post in the system to keep an eye out for extraterrestrial contacts in 2153 CE, and was used to monitor Hierarchy fleet activity during the First Contact War, and afterwards was abandoned and its existence kept secret from the Council. This left Cerberus free to take the station and, due to the system's obscurity, allowed them to operate undetected. This remained the case throughout the Reaper War, until they were finally discovered and Cerberus defeated.

After the war, the Systems Coalition established their own listening posts in the system, and used them to spy on New Council forces. When the Post-Apocalyptic War ended, these posts were moved to the Maginot Line, and Anadius abandoned once more. It has not been populated since, aside from a brief scientific expedition in 2760 CE.
