Salarian Union

Date:

12 February 2163 CE - 11 February 2187 CE

The 130th Dalatracy was the Dalatracy chosen in the 139th election cycle and served from 12 February 2163 CE to 11 February 2187 CE. The chosen members of the Dalatracy were as follows: Isik Tolsik for Education, Epik Murban for Defense, Tirtin Haelis for Finance, Jaenant Peralan for Science and Technology, Aemarf Yanmorn for Health, Nedann Gils for Justice, Tesow Garban for Transport and Infrastructure, Caestall Ulis for Environment and Agriculture, Valern Onoke for Interior and Security, Irwaw Caelus for Foreign Affairs, Rustum Baelon for Telecommunications and Media, and Anall Linron as head of state. The 130th Dalatracy largely went through a full election cycle without a Dalatrass being dismissed or passing away, although Valern Onoke had to be replaced as Dalatrass for the Interior and Security a year into his term when he was chosen to become the next salarian councilor on the Citadel Council in 2164 CE, replacing his predecessor, Tanik Aeliso, and he was replaced by another member of the Onoke family, his sixth brother Artar Onoke. The 130th Dalatracy presided over the Union during one of the most tribulatory periods of its history, governing the Union throughout the entirety of the Reaper campaign, from the Eden Prime War to the climactic Reaper War: whilst it survived the entire war, the 130th Dalatracy was heavily criticized for its questionable leadership during the Reaper War, namely in its attempts to maintain an isolationist policy during the conflict and its quickness to abandon its allies: Anall Linron, the Union's head of state and chosen leader of the 130th Dalatracy, especially came under fire when her controversial (failed) attempt in trying to bribe Marcus L. Shepard into sabotaging the genophage cure in exchange for promising the Union's full support for the UGC was exposed by Shepard himself, which caused brief but intense tensions with the krogan shortly afterwards. Linron's leadership, along with that of the Dalatracy as a whole, was brought further into question when many necres, turbans and reprats broke away with their forces to independently declare for the UGC, an act that bordered on sedition and treason, but went unanswered by the Dalatracy out of fear that public opinion would sway against them if they started a civil war in the middle of one with the Reapers. In the end, Linron was finally pressured into allowing the Union to join the UGC shortly after the Citadel Siege following her declaration that the Union would stay out of the war if the genophage was cured. After the Reaper War, the 130th Dalatracy's reputation was irreparably damaged, and Linron resigned shortly after the war ended: the next year, the next election cycle came up, and the 130th Dalatracy was replaced by the 131st Dalatracy on 12 February 2187 CE.
